Arkansas to name Ryan Silverfield head coach

Arkansas started what should be a wild Sunday in college football.

Multiple reports have surfaced indicating Ryan Silverfield will be the new head coach of the Razorbacks. Silverfield has been the head coach at Memphis for six seasons posting a 50-25 record. Silverfield’s Tigers beat Arkansas in September. A week later Sam Pittman was fired.

Memphis was 21-5 in 2023-24 before stumbling to an 8-4 record this season. Arkansas lost its final 10 games of the season.

With Arkansas filling its vacancy, LSU, Florida and Auburn remain open. It appears likely that LSU Will hire Lane Kiffin which will leave Ole Miss without a head coach.
