Eric Wolford will join Lane Kiffin’s staff at LSU.
LouisianaSports.net has learned that Wolford is in Baton Rouge and working at LSU’s football operations building. He brings nearly three decades of offensive line coaching experience.
Wolford has spent the last two seasons as offensive line coach at Kentucky. He also worked for the Wildcats in 2021. Between those two stints on the Bluegrass, Wolford was offensive line coach at Alabama in 2022 and 2023 in Nick Saban’s final two seasons. He spent three seasons at South Carolina from 2017-20 meaning he’s been a coach in the SEC for nine consecutive seasons.
Prior to that he spent two years as offensive line coach for the San Francisco 49ers. He has worked exclusively as an offensive line coach since 1997 when he was at South Florida.
LSU has finished last in the SEC in rushing offense the past two seasons.
John Garrison has been Ole Miss’s offensive line coach for Kiffin since 2023. He did not fly to Baton Rouge Wednesday with a number of the offensive staffers, and Ole Miss announced Tuesday that Garrison would coach the Rebel offensive line in the College Football Playoff.
