The New Orleans Saints follow their typical rhythm of focusing in-house first in free agency.
Per NewOrleans.Football’s Nick Underhill, the Saints have re-signed defensive tackle John Ridgeway III to a two-year deal.

Ridgeway’s deal is worth $6.2 million.
The defensive tackle arrived in New Orleans in 2024 via a trade with the Washington Commanders. While he battled injury for most of the 2025 season, his 6-foot-5, 327-podiums frame is a strong fit for defensive coordinator Brandon Staley’s odd-front system.
He appeared in four games last season, wrangling a total 11 tackles, a tackle for a loss and one quarterback hit.
The Saints are likely to continue looking at options to bolster their defensive line. Defensive tackle Jonah Williams is also a pending free agent that the team could look to bring back. He had previous experience with Staley before reuniting with him in 2025.
