The accolades continue to roll in for New Orleans Saints quarterback Tyler Shough. The No. 40 overall selection in the 2025 NFL Draft has already been named the Pepsi Zero Sugar Rookie of the Year and was the AP Offensive Rookie of the Year runner-up, but has recently been named the recipient of another rookie honor.
The Senior Bowl, college football’s premier annual all-star game, has named Shough their 2026 Rookie of the Year.
The yearly showcase also honored an NFC and AFC Rookie of the Year, but Shough was selected as the year’s overall award winner.
In nine starts, the Senior Bowl alum won five games in the Black and Gold completing 67.4% of his passing attempts for 2,384 passing yards and notching 10 touchdowns to just six interceptions. He also added a trio of rushing touchdowns and 186 yards on the ground. He led the team in rushing scores in the process.

Shough shattered numerous franchise rookie passing records throughout his starts including passing touchdowns, passing yards and games won.
The Saints’ signal caller recently went on ESPN 104.5’s Off The Bench to shed some light on the upcoming year, his rookie experience and his growing connection with the community and fanbase.
It’s yet another honor received by the 6-foot-5 passer, leading to more hope around what his play could mean for the future of the New Orleans Saints.
