Aidan Anding might have made the two most impressive plays of Saturday’s scrimmage. He won’t be making any more for an extended time.
The sophomore cornerback tore his Achilles after hauling in an interception in Tiger Stadium. Multiple sources have confirmed the injury to LouisianaSports.net. Monday night, Anding made an Instagram post alluding to the news.

Anding played in eight games as a freshman in 2025. Much of his action was on special teams. The former four-star recruit out of Ruston was battling this spring for more playing time in a thin but talented cornerback room.
DJ Pickett and PJ Woodland have been the starters during spring workouts, and JaKeem Jackson has logged time beside them in Nickel and Dime packages. Anding had been working on the second team.
Michael Turner Jr., Southern transfer Treylan James, Craig Walton Jr. as well as freshmen Havon Finney, Emari Peterson and Dez Ellis round out LSU’s cornerback depth.
Anding is the second major injury of spring practice for the Tigers. Defensive end Gabriel Reliford tore his ACL during the first week of drills.
