The second half of LSU All-American defensive back duo is off the board.
AJ Haulcy was drafted in the third round with pick 78 by the Colts Friday evening.
The transfer safety was sensational in his lone season at LSU. Haulcy finished second on the team in total tackles with 88 and led the team in interceptions with three. He and No. 6 overall pick Mansoor Delane spearheaded a secondary that finished third in the SEC in pass efficiency defense.
Haulcy has produced everywhere he’s played. At New Mexico, he made 24 tackles in a single game against Fresno State. He earned the Big 12 Defensive Newcomer of the Year award at Houston.
His departure leaves a void in the Tiger secondary LSU hopes to fill with Dashawn Spears and Ty Benefield alongside Tamarcus Cooley who shared secondary with Haulcy in 2025,
