A five-star legacy is staying home.
Ahmad Hudson, the nation’s top tight end, committed to Lane Kiffin and the Tigers on Sunday via his Instagram. The 6-foot-6, multi-sport star is the No. 11 ranked player nationally according to 247sports. Every service ranks Hudson as one of the top three players in the state of Louisiana.
Hudson’s father, Antonio, starred for the Tigers on the basketball court from 2002-2005. He was twice named to the SEC All-Tournament team and scored more than 1,000 points in his career. Ahmad plays both basketball and football for Ruston and is expected to play both at LSU. He’s considered a four-star basketball recruit and the top player in Louisiana for his class.
Hudson chose LSU over Nebraska among others and held offers from the top programs in the country. He becomes the fifth member of LSU’s 2027 recruiting class
