Former Florida cornerback Ja’Keem Jackson signs with LSU

LSU defensive backs coach Corey Raymond is reuniting with a former player.

Former Florida cornerback Ja’Keem Jackson announced Saturday that he has signed with LSU. Jackson, a Kissimmee native, signed with the Gators when Raymond was the defensive backs coach.

As a freshman, while playing for Raymond, he appeared in 11 games and broke up three passes and made seven tackles. He entered the 2024 season as a starter but suffered a season-ending injury in Week 2.

Jackson was a consensus four-star prospect and immediately adds some talent to an LSU cornerback position that is replacing Zy Alexander, JK Johnson, Jyaire Brown and Bernard Causey.
