Report: No setbacks expected, Moore to become Saints coach

On the eve of Super Bowl LIX, Adam Schefter delivered the news many have expected over the past two weeks. With no setbacks anticipated, Eagles offensive coordinator Kellen Moore is expected to become the next Saints head coach.

Schefter reported essentially the same thing earlier this week during an appearance on the Pat McAfee Show.
The Saints can’t officially hire Moore until after the Super Bowl. Should they violate the NFL’s tampering policy, the team could be penalized like the Cardinals were when they hired Jonathan Gannon from the Eagles. Arizona and Philadelphia agreed to a draft pick swap as compensation.
Schefter also reported that Moore is expected to have his salary more than doubled by New Orleans.
The Saints have the final remaining head coach vacancy. The team fired Dennis Allen during his third season at the helm after a seven-game losing streak.
Moore, 36, is in his seventh season as an NFL assistant. He has had previous stints with the Dallas Cowboys and Los Angeles Chargers before joining the Eagles this season.
