High school recruiting doesn’t stop, even during transfer portal season.
Thursday LSU hauled in a commitment from four-star defensive lineman JaReylan McCoy from Tupelo, Miss.

McCoy stands a towering 6-foot-7 inches and tips the scales at 245 lbs. On3 ranks him as the No. 8 defensive lineman in the country.
McCoy chose LSU over Tennessee, USC and Alabama among other schools. He becomes the sixth commitment in LSU’s 2026 class and the first from outside of Louisiana.
