Louisiana AG launches independent review into Kyren Lacy case

Louisiana’s Attorney General will investigate the fatal collision that former LSU wide receiver Kyren Lacy was arrested in connection to.

Liz Murrill, the Louisiana AG, released a one-sentence statement on Monday declaring her intent.

“I have been in touch with Louisiana State Police about independently reviewing all the witness statements and evidence in this case,” Murrill said.

Lacy was charged with negligent homicide, felony hit-and-run, and reckless operation of a vehicle. Before a grand jury heard his case, Lacy died by self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Video that surfaced over the weekend called into question the validity of the charges against Lacy.
