METAIRIE, La. – For the first time in 2025, the New Orleans Saints do not have a single player listed as out or questionable going into a matchup.
Here is the information from both the Saints and Buccaneers’ practice reports.
New Orleans Saints
No Designation (good to go):
DT Davon Godchaux (NIR-rest)
WR Chris Olave (ankle)
TE Juwan Johnson (neck)
RB Alvin Kamara (ankle)
CB Alontae Taylor (NIR-personal matter)
DE Chase Young (illness)
DT John Ridgeway III (shoulder)
While the Saints haven’t ruled out any player nor listed one as questionable headed into Week 8 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, they will be without a couple of important pieces. Starting center Erik McCoy will be out for the season with a pectoral injury while running back Kendre Miller will also be sidelined for the year with an ACL tear.
There is a lot of confidence around the building in veteran Luke Fortner, who will step in for McCoy at center. Meanwhile, rookie running back Devin Neal is set to contribute at running back in place of Miller.
For the Saints, one of the biggest concerns (literally) on the Buccaneers’ defensive line will be the biggest name to watch from Tampa’s injury list.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Did Not Participate:
WR Chris Godwin Jr. (fibula)
RB Bucky Irving (foot/shoulder)
OLB Haason Reddick (ankle/knee)
G Luke Haggard (shoulder)
Questionable:
DT Vita Vea (foot)
No Designation (good to go):
QB Teddy Bridgewater (teeth)
LB Lavonte David (knee/rib)
WR Emeka Egbuka (hamstring)
DT Greg Gaines (toe)
S Antoine Winfield Jr. (toe)
DB Christian Izien (knee)
G Ben Bredeson (shoulder)
TE Devin Culp (knee)
G Michael Jordan (knee)
QB Baker Mayfield (knee)
OLB Markees Watts (personal)
CB Zyon McCollum (thumb)
RB Josh Williams (concussion)
Vea is the biggest name to watch going into the weekend. He did not participate in the two days of practices the Bucs held during their short week. If he is out or hampered in any way, it could end up making the loss of McCoy a skosh more manageable.
The announcements of Godwin, Irving and Reddick came earlier in the week, but the Bucs will also be without offensive lineman Haggard again this week. Haggard was in for the already injured Cody Mauch. Offensive lineman Jordan will likely be starting at right guard again after surrendering nine pressures against the Detroit Lions last week.
