For the most part, teams already know everything they’ll need to know about this year’s NFL Draft prospects. However, there is one crucial exception: Arizona State wide receiver Jordyn Tyson. Teams know that he is a dominating wideout when on the field, but have some questions around his health and recovery from an October hamstring injury that’s sidelined him for the entire draft process thus far.
The New Orleans Saints are among the teams that have already done some extra homework on the exceptional wideout. By hosting him for a top-30 visit, the Saints will have already had the opportunity to meet with him, show him around the facility and conduct an important health check with their own medical team.
The one thing they could not do during his visit was see him workout. That changes on Friday, however.
Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Tyson will hold a private workout for all NFL teams in Arizona on Friday, April 17.
During which, he’ll finally have a chance to impress scouting, coaches and executives on the field for the first time since he sustained the hamstring injury that’s kept him away from action for so long.
Tyson reeled in 61 receptions for 711 receiving yards and eight touchdown receptions along with a rushing touchdown in 2025. Each of those totals would have made Tyson the second-leading wide receiver last year. He also topped 1,100 receiving yards and added 10 receiving touchdowns in 2024.
If Tyson impresses and shows he’s returned to form, he could quickly catapult back up to the top wideout in this year’s class, potentially forcing the Saints to think seriously about drafting him at No. 8 overall.
