LSU has lost its first commitment since Lane Kiffin was hired as the Tigers head coach. Three star offensive lineman Jalan Chapman announced Tuesday on his X account that he has decommitted from LSU and is reopening his recruitment.

Chapman is a 6-foot-3, 305 pound interior offensive lineman out of New Orleans (La.) Warren Easton. He has been committed to LSU since July 2024. He’s ranked No. 1102 nationally in the Rivals Composite and the 108th interior lineman.
That leaves LSU with 14 commits for the 2026 class. Five star defensive tackle Richard Anderson is still committed to LSU, but will not sign with the Tigers Wednesday as he awaits word on his position coach and whether or not Frank Wilson will be part of Kiffin’s staff.
