Kaleb Jackson to enter transfer portal

After sitting the second half of the season, Kaleb Jackson will enter the transfer portal.

The junior tailback played in four games this season, preserving his redshirt year.

In three years as a Tiger, the former four-star recruit carried the ball 82 times for 331 yards and four touchdowns. All four scores came as a true freshman in 2023.

Caden Durham and Harlem Berry emerged as LSU’s most trusted backs, and Ju’Juan Johnson carved out a role.

Jackson was never able to break through as the power option in the LSU backfield. He told reporters during the spring that he had considered transferring but wanted to be close to home. He prepped at Liberty High School just a few miles from LSU.

Jackson will have two years of eligibility remaining.

Following Johnson and Jackson entering the portal, LSU will have to add multiple backs to join Durham and Berry in the backfield in 2026.
