LSU continues to fortify the defensive front.

Former South Carolina EDGE Jaylen Brown is the latest Tiger transfer portal commitment.

Brown was a four-star recruit coming out of Madison, AL., in 2024. He played in five games at Missouri and then transferred to South Carolina where he suffered a knee injury during spring practice. that cost him the season as a Gamecock.

The 6-foot- 5, 260 lbs., EDGE considered LSU when he signed with Missouri and played for new LSU defensive line coach Sterling Lucas at South Carolina. He’ll make LSU his third home in three seasons.

Brown joins a position group that lost Jack Pyburn, Patrick Payton and Jimari Butler to eligibility. Young talent remains in Dylan Carpenter, CJ Jackson, Damien Shanklin and Gabriel Reliford. Competition for playing time should be fierce among a group that has plenty to prove.
