LSU’s roster is now empty.

Every player with remaining eligibility has entered the portal now that freshman guard Jalen Reece has declared his intention to do so.

Reece really came on in his first collegiate season. He was thrust into early action when starting point guard Dedan Thomas Jr. went down with an injury. Reece played 30.8 minutes per game in SEC play and averaged 7.1 points and 4.7 assists versus league competition.

In LSU’s double-overtime win at Ole Miss, Reece had 11 points and 10 assists for a double-double. In the final seven games of the regular season, Reece shot 42 percent from three-point range.

As On3’s Joe Tipton reports, Reece is leaving the door open to a return.

Will Wade now must build a roster from scratch without a high school signing class or returning player locked in. The portal has been open for 11 days.

A source told LouisianaSports.net that the new staff has spent hours daily on zoom calls with prospects, but LSU is without a commitment.
