The New Orleans Saints were back to full strength, relative to those available, on Thursday as tight end Juwan Johnson was spotted back at practice by local media in attendance.
Johnson was among a pair of Saints not present on Wednesday. Head coach Kellen Moore provided an update after practice that the tight end missed with illness, so it was a good sign to see him back a day later.
The Saints also saw rookie tight end Oscar Delp participate for a second day in a row after missing Week 1 with a hamstring injury.
Running back Alvin Kamara and edge rusher Cameron Jordan were also present.
The only players not spotted on Thursday were linebacker Isaiah Stalbird, defensive linemen Davon Godchaux and the team’s specialists.
Long snapper Zach Wood is expected to be out for 4-6 weeks with a calf strain. It’s entirely probable that the team’s kickers and punter were working with either long snappers trying out or a newly acquired player at the position.
