Lafayette is listed at 6-foot-1 and 230 lbs., and he enjoyed a breakout junior season where he created better than 40 quarterback pressures for Lake Nona High School in Orlando.
Right now, Lafayette is considered the No. 33 EDGE in the country and No. 41 player in Florida by 247sports, but experts have suggested he could be a riser as rankings are updated this fall.
On the 4th of July, LSU added five-star EDGE Trenton Henderson to its 2026 class. Defensive tackle commitment Richard Anderson is also considered a five-star.
Kyle Williams and Kevin Peoples continue to win on the recruiting trail along LSU’s defensive line.
LSU class now sits at 16 commitments having picked up five in the last 10 days during the in-person dead period.
