METAIRIE, La. – The New Orleans Saints saw their big-bodied wide receiver Devaughn Vele ramp up on Thursday after only being seen for the stretch portion of Wednesday’s open session. Vele participated in the individual drills portion of the practice, signaling some promising progress ahead of Sunday’s game against the Buffalo Bills.
Here are the players that were not spotted during the open portion of Saints practice:
OL Dillon Radunz (toe)
DE Chase Young (calf)
Young’s continued absence seems to indicate that he will miss a fourth consecutive game. Being that the Saints did not place him on Injured Reserve, it appears that Young’s timeline may have shifted beyond the best-case scenario regarding his return.
Wilson was recently added back to the practice squad, but has not yet been spotted at practice.
The Saints do look ready to debut their starting offensive line for the first time in this Week 4 matchup with left guard Trevor Penning and right tackle Taliese Fuaga practicing Thursday.
