Eleven games down, one to go.
All eyes in Louisiana are on Oxford, but the Tigers take the field in Norman this afternoon against an Oklahoma team bidding for a College Football Playoff berth. The Sooners boats perhaps college football’s best defense, and the LSU offense is limping to the finish line.
The LSU defense gets Whit Weeks for an extended effort. Mansoor Delane was not listed on the availability report which suggests he could be available.
We asked the staff at 104.5 ESPN Baton Rouge to pick the game.
Jacob Hester, Co-host, Off the Bench: LSU gets two defensive touchdowns. 14-13. LSU
Matt Flynn, Co-host, Off the Bench: 6-7, LSU
Taylor Sharp, Video Producer, Off the Bench: I have no faith in this offense, especially with a backup QB that has been super Shaky in his 2 starts. Pair that with the Oklahoma defense that could be the best in the SEC and it all sets up for a long night for the Tigers offense. 24-6, Oklahoma
Charles Hanagriff, Co-host, Live at Lunch: 24-6, Oklahoma
Hunt Palmer, Host, The Hunt Palmer Show: LSU has matched up with good defenses and iffy offenses. They beat Clemson, Florida and South Carolina. Oklahoma is a great defense. 26-6 Oklahoma.
Matt Moscona, Host, After Further Review: It’s hard to see LSU’s offense doing much of anything. 20-6, Oklahoma.
Matthew Musso, Audio Producer, After Further Review: I was going to pick a shutout but figured I’d spot LSU three. This fees like the worst matchup imaginable for the Tigers banged up offense. I do think the defense will play well. 24-3, Oklahoma.
Paul O’Neill, Video Producer, After Further Review: Everyone is ready to get this season of disappointment over with. The LSU offense couldn’t figure it out all season, and they won’t on Saturday. 24-10, Oklahoma.
