METAIRIE, La. – The entire New Orleans Saints 2026 rookie class is now signed. After signing seven of the eight players on the first day of rookie minicamp, the team wrapped up its signings from the April selection process with second-round defensive tackle Christen Miller on Saturday.
Miller’s deal is a standard four-year rookie contract. The lingering question will hover around how much of his deal is guaranteed, which is often the purpose for delays in second-round rookie deals getting signed.
The No. 42 overall pick was not spotted during the first day of rookie minicamp, though he was present at the facility. Head coach Kellen Moore revealed after practice that Miller is managing what sounds to be a minor injury.
“He’s fine,” Moore said. “Just a couple of these guys come in, you put guys in different levels as far as the maintenance plan, just to make sure these guys are ramping up the right way. And so that’s part of this process. Checking in on them from a body standpoint. So he wasn’t out there necessarily doing any field work. But he’ll be fine.”
The Miller selection brings the team an active, strong interior defender with an infectious personality and leadership skills.
He wrapped up his Georgia career with 64 total tackles, 11.5 tackles for a loss, four sacks and a pass defended while measuring up at 6-foot-4 and 321 pounds. He enters the league as one of the youngest prospects in this year’s draft at just 21-years-old at the time he was selected.
