Former LSU QB Howard leaving Ole Miss

Walker Howard is on the move again.

The Louisiana native and former LSU quarterback will be leaving his second SEC school in three years, according to a report from Matt Zenitz.

The redshirt sophomore spent his last two seasons at Ole Miss after signing with LSU and spending the 2022 season in Baton Rouge. Howard only attempted six passes in two seasons at Ole Miss while appearing in four games.

Howard was a top-five quarterback and top-50 overall player in the 2022 recruiting class out of St. Thomas More in Lafayette, La. His dad, Jamie, also played quarterback at LSU from 1992-1995.

Howard will have two years of eligibility remaining. The transfer portal officially opens on Monday, December 9th.
