NEW ORLEANS — The trend of old faces in old places continues the NFL free agency with another reunion for the New Orleans Saints.

The Saints announced Thursday afternoon that they have signed former LSU offensive lineman Will Clapp to a one-year deal.

Clapp began his NFL career with the Saints as a seventh-round selection in the 2018 NFL draft. He remained with New Orleans until he followed some of the team’s departing coaching staff to the Los Angeles Charger in 2022. He was with the Buffalo Bills last year.

The lineman now returns to New Orleans with another 32 games of playing experience.

Clapp has been a versatile interior player throughout his career. He’s taken snaps at center, left guard, right guard and as a jumbo tight end. He should provide quality and familiar depth for the offensive line.

Clapp reunites with Saints offensive line coach Brendan Nugent who coached him in his first stint in New Orleans as well as with the Chargers.
