NEW ORLEANS — The New Orleans Saints continue to add to their tight ends room in NFL free agency. After re-signing starter Juwan Johnson to a three-year deal, the team is adding a familiar face for head coach Kellen Moore to the room.
Per NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport, the Saints have signed former Philadelphia Eagles and Miami Dolphins tight end Jack Stoll.

Stoll was a depth piece for the Eagles from 2021 until midseason last year. He contributed mostly on special teams, but did take a healthy amount of offensive snaps at tight end last year while the position’s top name, Dallas Goedert, was out with injury in 2024.
Stoll, who played his college ball at Nebraska, entered the league as an undrafted free agent with the Eagles. The two parted ways after the 2023 season, where he landed with the New York Giants for training camp. He was then made available and returned to the Eagles last year at roster cutdowns, spending time on Philadelphia’s practice squad. Partway through the season, the Eagles waived Stoll and he landed with the Dolphins for the remainder of the season.
His most productive offensive season came in 2021 where he caught 11 passes for 123 receiving yards. Last year, he caught a pair of passes for 10 yards receiving. He has also shown outstanding promise in run protection.

Furthermore, he has been a reliable special teams contributor, playing at least 45% of special teams snaps each season with the Eagles.
Stoll measured in at 6-foot-3 and 247 pounds at his combine, where he ran an impressive 4.63 40-yard-dash. He should be seen as a depth player for now in a crowded tight ends room with some surefire special teams upside.
