Just after the New Orleans Saints added former Eagles run game coordinator T.J. Paganetti to their staff, another member of the Saints coaching staff is set to depart.
Per NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, the Seahawks will hire Saints senior offensive assistant Rick Dennison as their run game coordinator and senior offensive assistant.
Dennison worked closely with the Saints’ run game and offensive line in 2024. His departure was expected, but felt solidified once New Orleans hired Paganetti.
The veteran coach has been a longtime assistant to the Kubiak tree. Saints former offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak also made the leap to the Pacific Northwest as well as several more New Orleans coaching staff members. Dennison remains with his group.
The Seahawks have now hired Kubiak, Dennison, quarterbacks coach Andrew Janocko, and offensive line coach John Benton — a group that helped New Orleans get off to a hot start in 2024, one Seattle hopes to replicate and maintain.
