LSU will hold a celebration of life ceremony to honor legendary baseball coach Skip Bertman, who died Friday at 88.
The public event will take place at the Maravich Center Tuesday, Aug. 25 at 7 p.m. with doors opening at 6 p.m. The Bertman family along with former players, coaches and staff members will hold a private ceremony prior to the public event.

He won five national titles and made 11 College World Series appearances during his 18 seasons as LSU head coach. As LSU’s athletic director, he hired four national championship-winning head coaches including Les Miles and Paul Mainieri.
