Before taking on the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday the New Orleans Saints announced their game-day elevations from the practice squad.

The Saints announced Saturday afternoon that wide receiver Kevin Austin Jr. and long snapper Scott Daly will be the team’s standard elevations for Sunday’s matchup.

Austin receives his second of three possible game day elevations here in the second week of the season, giving the Saints five options at wide receiver going into their game. Starting wideout Chris Olave is questionable going into the contest with a hamstring injury, but the elevation of Austin was likely one way or another.

Therefore, the move may not at all be related to Olave with the Saints carrying only four wideouts on their active roster.

Olave did travel to Baltimore, along with edge rusher Chase Young (who is also questionable for the game), per Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football

The elevation of Daly is related to the multi-week absence of long snapper Zach Wood. Daly was signed to the practice squad as Wood was placed on Injured Reserve with a calf strain. Wood will miss at least the next four games.

It will be interesting to see how many skill position players will be active for New Orleans this weekend. They are traveling with five wideouts, four tight ends and four running backs, after adding back C.J. Donaldson to the active roster and the return of rookie Oscar Delp from a hamstring injury.
